Settings — Status

Feature Overview

Status is a read-only diagnostic page that gives you a clear view of how your restaurant is currently configured across key system areas. Rather than navigating through multiple settings pages to check on your setup, the Status page consolidates the most important configuration indicators in one place — making it easy to spot anything that is missing or misconfigured.

How It Affects the System

  • This page is read-only — it does not let you make changes directly. It reflects the current live state of your restaurant's configuration.
  • Use this page as a starting point when troubleshooting. If a feature is not working as expected, check the Status page first to confirm whether that area is configured correctly.
  • Status indicators may include information about: payment processor status, hours of operation coverage, active Revenue Centers, reservation settings, POS device registration, loyalty program activation, and other key configuration points.

Prerequisites / Requirements

  • Restaurant edit or view permissions are required.

Step-by-Step Guide

Accessing the Status Page

  1. Navigate to Settings > Status.
  2. The page loads a summary of your restaurant's current configuration status.

Reading the Status Indicators

  1. Each configuration area displays a status indicator (such as a checkmark for correctly configured, or a warning for missing or incomplete settings).
  2. Review each item and note any areas that are flagged.

Resolving a Configuration Issue

  1. If a status indicator shows a warning or incomplete state, navigate to the relevant settings page (as shown in the status description) to address the issue.
  2. Return to Settings > Status after making changes to confirm the indicator has updated.

Common Troubleshooting / FAQs

Q: A setting shows as incomplete on the Status page but I've already configured it. Some status indicators may take a moment to refresh after a change. Try navigating away from the page and returning to reload the current status. If the indicator still shows incomplete, review the corresponding settings page to confirm the change was saved correctly.

Q: I don't know what a specific status item means. Each status item on the page includes a description of what it represents. If you are unsure how to resolve a specific status warning, contact Katalyst support with the name of the status item and your current configuration — they can guide you through the required steps.
