Feature Overview

Integrations is the gateway for connecting Katalyst with third-party platforms your restaurant uses for scheduling, labor management, and online ordering. Rather than managing each tool in a separate application, connecting them here allows data to flow between systems automatically — reducing duplicate entry and keeping your workforce and menu data in sync.

How It Affects the System

• 7shifts Integration connects Katalyst with 7shifts restaurant scheduling software. When linked, employee schedules created in 7shifts can sync with Katalyst labor data.
• Hot Schedules connects Katalyst with HotSchedules (now Fourth), another widely used restaurant scheduling platform. Similar to 7shifts, this integration allows schedule data to flow into your labor management.
• Chowly Sync (visible only if Chowly is enabled for your account) connects your Katalyst menu to Chowly's third-party delivery aggregator. When synced, menu updates in Katalyst push automatically to connected delivery platforms (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.). This link navigates directly to the Chowly Sync page in the Kitchen Hub.
• QuickBooks (if available for your account) connects Katalyst with Intuit QuickBooks for accounting data integration.
• All integrations marked Beta are actively being developed and tested. Beta features may have limited functionality compared to fully released features.

Prerequisites / Requirements

• Restaurant edit or view permissions are required.
• Each integration requires an active account with the third-party service (7shifts, HotSchedules, etc.).
• Chowly Sync is only visible if Chowly is enabled for your restaurant.

Step-by-Step Guide

Accessing Integrations

1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations.
2. The page displays a list of available integrations, each with its name and a brief description.

Connecting 7shifts

1. Click 7shifts Integration in the integrations list.
2. Follow the on-screen steps to connect your 7shifts account by entering your 7shifts credentials or authorizing Katalyst access.
3. Once connected, labor sync will activate according to the integration's configuration.

Connecting HotSchedules

1. Click Hot Schedules in the integrations list.
2. Follow the on-screen steps to authorize the connection between Katalyst and your HotSchedules account.

Syncing with Chowly

1. Click Chowly Sync in the integrations list.
2. You will be navigated to the Kitchen Hub > Chowly Sync page.
3. Review any flagged menu items and click Sync to push your current menu to connected delivery platforms.

Common Troubleshooting / FAQs

Q: I connected 7shifts but my schedules are not appearing in Katalyst labor reports. After connecting, allow time for the initial data sync to complete — this can take several minutes depending on the volume of schedule data. If data still does not appear after 30 minutes, disconnect and reconnect the integration. Contact Katalyst support if the issue persists.

Q: The integration I need is not listed on the Integrations page. The Integrations page only shows integrations available for your account and region. If you use a platform not listed here, contact Katalyst support to ask about availability or upcoming integrations. Note that some integrations (like QuickBooks) are currently only available in development or sandbox environments.
