Uploading a Profile Photo
Feature Overview
Adding a profile photo to your Katalyst account makes it easy for managers and staff to identify you throughout the dashboard. Your photo appears alongside your name in relevant system areas and makes team communication clearer, especially in multi-location or large-staff environments.
Prerequisites / Requirements
- You must be logged in and on your Profile page.
- The image file should be in a common format (JPG, PNG, or GIF) and reasonably sized for upload.
Step-by-Step Guide
- On the Profile page, click on your current avatar image or the upload link displayed beneath it.
- Your device's file browser will open. Navigate to the image file you want to use as your profile photo.
- Select the file and confirm the selection.
- The photo will upload and display as your new profile avatar immediately.
Common Troubleshooting / FAQs
Q: My photo uploaded but it looks stretched or distorted. For best results, use a square image (equal width and height). If your photo appears distorted, crop it to a square ratio using any photo editing tool before uploading it again.
Q: I clicked the upload area but nothing happened. Your browser may be blocking the file picker pop-up. Check your browser's pop-up blocker settings and allow pop-ups for your Katalyst URL. If using a company-managed device, a security policy may restrict file uploads — contact your IT team for assistance.
