Changing Your Password

Feature Overview

You can update your Katalyst account password at any time from your Profile page — no need to request a reset email. Changing your password regularly is good security practice, especially if you have recently shared access to a shared workstation.

Prerequisites / Requirements

  • You must be logged in and on your Profile page.
  • You must know your current password to complete the change. If you have forgotten it, use the Reset Password option on the login page instead.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. On the Profile page, scroll to the Password section.
  2. Click into the Current Password field and enter your existing password.
  3. Click into the New Password field and type your desired new password.
  4. Click into the Confirm New Password field and re-enter your new password exactly as typed above.
  5. Click Save to apply the change.
  6. A confirmation message will appear to indicate the password was updated successfully.
  7. Use your new password the next time you log in.

Common Troubleshooting / FAQs

Q: I clicked Save but received an error saying my passwords do not match. The text in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields must be identical, including capitalization and any special characters. Re-type both fields carefully and click Save again.

Q: I entered my current password correctly but the system is still rejecting it. Make sure Caps Lock is not accidentally enabled on your keyboard. If you are still unable to update your password, log out and use the Reset Password link on the login page to set a new password via email.
