Moving and Repositioning Tables

Feature Overview

After placing tables on the canvas, you can reposition them at any time by clicking and dragging — just like rearranging furniture in your physical space. This lets you refine your layout over time as your dining room configuration changes or as you identify a more accurate arrangement.

Prerequisites / Requirements

• You must be in the Floor Layout editor for the correct Revenue Center.
• Your account must have layout edit permissions.
• The layout must not be in Wall Mode — switch back to table editing mode before moving tables.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. In the Floor Layout editor, locate the table you want to reposition on the canvas.
2. Click on the table to select it.
3. While holding the click, drag the table to its new position on the canvas.
4. Release the click to drop the table in its new location.
5. Repeat for any other tables that need to be moved.
6. Click Save in the toolbar to preserve the repositioned layout.

Common Troubleshooting / FAQs

Q: I cannot drag a table — it does not move when I click and hold. Verify that Wall Mode is not active. If Wall Mode is on, clicking on the canvas draws walls rather than selecting tables. Toggle Wall Mode off in the toolbar before attempting to move tables.

Q: A table snapped to a different position than where I dropped it. Some layouts have a grid snap enabled to keep tables aligned. If the table did not land exactly where you expected, try dragging it again and releasing it closer to the precise target position.
