Viewing Your Dashboard

Feature Overview

The Snapshot Dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in and selecting your restaurant location. It is your restaurant's central command center, displaying real-time performance data through a set of configurable widgets. Instead of opening individual reports, the Snapshot Dashboard brings your most important numbers together in one view so you can assess your operation at a glance.

Prerequisites / Requirements

• You must be logged in with an account that has Reports view or edit permissions.
• At least one Revenue Center must be configured for your restaurant. If no Revenue Center exists, the dashboard will show a loading spinner without resolving. Navigate to Settings > Revenue Centers to verify.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Log in to Katalyst. The platform automatically directs you to the Snapshot Dashboard.
2. The page header shows Snapshot as the breadcrumb at the top of the screen.
3. Your configured widgets load automatically and display data for the current day by default.
4. Review each widget on the page — each one represents a different performance metric for your restaurant.

Common Troubleshooting / FAQs

Q: The Snapshot page shows a loading spinner that never resolves. This usually means no Revenue Center is active for your account. Navigate to Settings > Revenue Centers to confirm at least one is set up. If a Revenue Center exists and the page still will not load, contact your restaurant owner or manager to verify your account has Reports view permission.

Q: My widgets are showing no data even though we had activity today. Confirm that the date range filter at the top of the page is set to today's date. If a custom date range was previously applied, the widgets may be showing a period with no activity. Reset the filter to today and click RUN REPORT.
