Adding Tables to Your Floor Plan
Feature Overview
The core of the Floor Layout editor is placing tables on the canvas to represent your physical dining room. Katalyst offers five table shapes in two sizes, giving you the flexibility to represent round, rectangular, and square tables — matching the actual furniture configuration in your restaurant as closely as possible.
Prerequisites / Requirements
- You must be in the Floor Layout editor for the correct Revenue Center.
- Your account must have layout edit permissions.
Step-by-Step Guide
- In the Floor Layout editor toolbar, click the Add Table button (the icon with a plus sign or grid icon).

Common Troubleshooting / FAQs
Q: I added tables but I cannot see the Add Table button. The toolbar may need to be scrolled into view depending on your screen size. Scroll to the top of the canvas area or look for a floating toolbar. If the button is still not visible, try using a larger screen or browser window.
Q: I added more tables than my dining room has. Can I delete one? Yes — click the table you want to remove to select it, then look for a Delete or trash icon in the settings panel that appears. Confirm the deletion to remove the table from the canvas.
