QR Code for Customer Ordering

Feature Overview

Katalyst generates a unique QR code for each Revenue Center that guests can scan with their phone to browse your menu and place orders directly from their table. This supports both contactless ordering and menu browsing without the need for physical menus. A printable QR cube format is also available for table-top display placement.

Prerequisites / Requirements

  • Your account must have Menu view or edit permissions.
  • A Revenue Center must be active and selected.
  • Contactless ordering must be enabled in Settings > Contactless for guests to place orders via QR code (as opposed to just viewing the menu).

Common Troubleshooting / FAQs

Q: Guests are scanning the QR code but being taken to a menu they cannot order from. Verify that contactless ordering is enabled in Settings > Contactless. If the setting is off, the QR code will only display the menu without allowing orders.

Q: The QR code I downloaded is too small to scan reliably when printed. When printing, ensure you select a paper size appropriate for the display location and scale the image to fill the printable area. For table cards, a QR code of at least 1.5 inches square is recommended for reliable scanning.
