Managing Modifiers
Feature Overview
Modifiers allow guests and staff to customize menu items at the point of ordering — for example, choosing a steak temperature, selecting a salad dressing, or opting for extra toppings. Modifiers are organized into groups (e.g., "Temperature" with options like Rare, Medium, Well Done), and each group can be attached to one or more menu items.

Common Troubleshooting / FAQs
Q: A modifier group is not appearing as a choice when staff add an item on the POS. The modifier group must be explicitly attached to the menu item. Open the item in Menu Sections, find the modifier assignment section, and link the relevant modifier group to the item.
Q: I deleted a modifier option but it is still showing on old POS checks. Deleting a modifier option only affects new orders going forward. Checks that were already started on the POS before the deletion may still show the removed option until the check is closed.
