Saving the Layout
Feature Overview
All changes made in the Floor Layout editor — table placements, names, capacities, wall drawings, and merges — are only committed to the live system when you save. Saving the layout makes it immediately available to all staff in the Reservations Grid view. It is important to save after every editing session to ensure no work is lost.
Prerequisites / Requirements
- You must be in the Floor Layout editor for the correct Revenue Center.
- Your account must have layout edit permissions.
Step-by-Step Guide
- After making all desired changes to your floor plan in the editor, click the Save button in the toolbar.
- A confirmation indicator will appear to confirm the layout has been saved successfully.
- The updated layout is now live and visible to all staff members who open the Reservations Grid view.
Common Troubleshooting / FAQs
Q: I saved the layout but tables are not appearing in the Reservations Grid view. After saving, the Reservations Grid may need a page refresh to load the updated layout. Navigate away from the Grid view and return to it, or press Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) / Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) for a hard refresh. If tables still do not appear, verify that the layout was saved for the correct Revenue Center.
Q: A table I deleted is still showing on the Reservations page after saving. If the deleted table had existing future reservations assigned to it, it may not disappear from the Reservations view immediately. Reassign or cancel any active reservations on that table first, then delete the table in the Floor Layout editor and save again.
