Floor Layout

Floor Layout

Feature Overview

The Floor Layout builder lets you create and maintain a visual map of your restaurant's dining room. By placing tables of different shapes and sizes on a digital floor plan, you give your team a real-time visual reference for seating, reservations, and table availability. An accurate layout is essential for using the Grid view in Reservations and for tracking table turns in your reporting.

Prerequisites / Requirements

  • Your account must have layout edit permissions (typically manager-level or above).
  • A Revenue Center must be active and selected — layouts are built per Revenue Center.
  • The floor plan is accessed by navigating to your Revenue Center's layout page.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. In the left-hand navigation, select the Revenue Center you want to configure.
  2. Navigate to the Floor Layout page for that Revenue Center (accessible from the sidebar or from the Reservations Grid view).

Common Troubleshooting / FAQs

Q: I saved the layout but tables are not appearing in the Reservations Grid view. After saving, the Reservations Grid may need a page refresh to load the updated layout. Navigate away from the Grid view and return to it, or perform a full page refresh. If tables still do not appear, verify the layout was saved for the correct Revenue Center — each Revenue Center has its own independent floor plan.

Q: A table I deleted is still showing up on the Reservations page. Deleting a table that has existing future reservations assigned to it may prevent it from disappearing immediately. Reassign or cancel any active reservations on that table first, then delete the table again and save the layout.
