Settings — Social Media
Feature Overview
Social Media settings let you store and manage links to your restaurant's social media profiles and any related social settings within Katalyst. By keeping these links current, you ensure that any guest-facing Katalyst surfaces (such as the diner app or online ordering pages) that surface social media links are always pointing to the right accounts.
How It Affects the System
- Social media URLs stored here can be displayed on guest-facing Katalyst interfaces, giving guests a direct path to follow or engage with your restaurant on each platform.
- Changes update immediately — once saved, any linked surface will reflect the new URL on its next load.
Prerequisites / Requirements
- Restaurant edit or view permissions are required.
Step-by-Step Guide
Accessing Social Media Settings
- Navigate to Settings > Social Media.
Adding or Updating a Social Media Link
- Locate the field for the platform you want to update (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, Yelp, etc.).

- Clear the field (delete all text).
- The link is removed automatically after the field is cleared.
Common Troubleshooting / FAQs
Q: I updated a social media link but guests are still seeing the old link. If the link appears on a cached page or embedded widget, the change may not be visible until the page refreshes or the cache clears. Ask guests to refresh the page or try again in a few minutes. If the issue persists across all devices, verify the change was saved by returning to Settings > Social Media and confirming the new URL is displayed.
Q: The social media links field is not visible on the page. Confirm your account has restaurant edit or view permissions. If you have the correct permissions and the fields are still not appearing, contact Katalyst support — your account configuration may need a review.
