Snapshot Dashboard

Feature Overview

The Snapshot Dashboard is your restaurant's central command center — the first screen you see after logging in and selecting your location. It gives you a real-time, at-a-glance overview of your restaurant's performance through customizable data widgets. Instead of navigating through multiple reports, you can configure this single screen to surface the numbers that matter most to you, filtered by date range and revenue center.

Prerequisites / Requirements

  • You must be logged in to Katalyst with an account that has Reports view or edit permissions.
  • At least one Revenue Center must be configured for your restaurant.

Step-by-Step Guide

Viewing Your Dashboard

  1. Log in to Katalyst. You will be directed to your restaurant's Snapshot page automatically.
  2. The page header displays Snapshot as a breadcrumb at the top.
  3. Your configured widgets load automatically and display your current day's data by default.

Filtering by Date Range

  1. In the filter bar at the top of the page, locate the date range picker (two date fields side by side).
  2. Click the start date field and select your desired beginning date from the calendar.
  3. Click the end date field and select your desired ending date.
  4. To apply the filter, click the RUN REPORT button.
  5. All widgets on the dashboard will refresh to reflect the selected date range.

Filtering by Revenue Center

  1. In the filter bar, click the Revenue Centers dropdown (labeled All Revenue Centers when no filter is active).
  2. Select one or more revenue centers you want to include in the view.
  3. Click RUN REPORT to refresh the widgets with your selection.

Common Troubleshooting / FAQs

Q: My Snapshot page shows a loading spinner and never loads. This usually means no Revenue Center is active for your account. Confirm that at least one Revenue Center is set up by navigating to Settings > Revenue Centers. If the issue persists, contact your account administrator to verify your permissions include Reports view access.

Q: I clicked RUN REPORT but the widgets didn't change. Make sure both a start and end date are selected in the date range picker. If only one date is filled in, the filter will not apply. Re-select both dates and click RUN REPORT again.
