Reservations
Overview
The Reservations feature lets your team book and manage dining reservations directly from the POS. You can create reservations for future dates, add guests to a waitlist, view the full reservation grid, and link reservations to specific tables. Reservations appear on the Home Screen table map and in the reservation list panel so staff always have a current picture of what is booked.

- You must be logged in to the POS with access to the reservation management tools.

Troubleshooting
A reservation is not appearing on the expected date
Check the date filter in the reservation panel or grid — it may be set to a different date. Tap the date button in the header to confirm the correct date is selected.
Can't assign a table to a reservation
The table must be unoccupied and available in the layout. If the table shows as occupied, a check is already open on it. Close or transfer that check first.
Reservation types are not all available
The four types — Regular, Wait List, Call Ahead, and Walk In — are always available in the form. If a specific workflow is not working as expected, contact Katalyst support.
