Time Card
Overview
The Time Card screen shows a staff member's clock-in and clock-out history for the current session, including their recorded hours by job role. Staff use it to review their time records and clock out at the end of a shift. Managers can also view time card entries to verify hours.
Prerequisites
- You must be logged in to the POS.
- Time tracking must be enabled for your restaurant in back office.
Viewing Your Time Card
- Tap the Menu (≡) icon to open the side drawer.
- Go to Settings → Financials → Time Card.
- Your Time Card screen displays all clock-in and clock-out entries for your current session, organized by date and role.
Each entry shows:
- The date and time of clock-in and clock-out
- The job role worked during that entry
- The total hours for each entry
Clocking Out
When your shift is complete:
- Navigate to the Time Card screen.
- Tap Clock Out at the bottom of the screen.
- Confirm the action.
Your clock-out time is recorded and the session time entry is closed. A clock-out receipt may print automatically, depending on your restaurant's settings.
Logging Out of the POS
From the Time Card screen, you can also log out of the POS entirely:
- Tap Log Out at the bottom of the screen.
- The POS returns to the PIN login screen.
Logging out ends your POS session. Any open checks assigned to your session remain open and can be accessed by a manager or after logging back in.
Troubleshooting
My clock-in entry is missing
Clock-in entries are recorded automatically when you select a job role at login (if the clock-in printing feature is enabled). If an entry is missing, contact a manager to verify the time records in the back office reporting.
Clock Out button is not appearing
If the Clock Out button is missing, your restaurant may not use POS-based time tracking, or the button may require a different navigation path. Contact your manager for the correct clock-out procedure at your location.
I accidentally logged out instead of clocking out
Logging out and clocking out are separate actions. Clocking out records your departure time for payroll purposes; logging out simply ends your POS session. If you logged out without clocking out, a manager can manually correct the time record in back office.
